There are several designs for disposable plastic forks. Many of those designs are not original, but some of them are. The above video explores what aspects of an ordinary plastic fork could be protected by a patent. Several examples are discussed. As it turns out, yes, you can patent a disposable plastic fork, if the design of that fork is new, the method of making it is new or the material used to make that fork is new.
